Presentation

The new LED Lighter DL2 Series use the most modern optoelectronics technologies and an efficient heat dissipation system. The use of the HTTM Technology allows to mantain the lighter in good working conditions to obtain a product with an high operating life and a good stability of the light emission.
The power supply through a connector allows an easy installation and fast mounting and dismounting operation in case of plant management. The 24 Vdc power supply allows to operate in security.
This LED Lighter series is indicated for artificial vision systems based on cameras that works in direct light mode of the object that must to be checked.



Typical applications

The employment of LED lighters in the field of artificial vision is a consolidated and diffused reality above all for the advantages that derive from the use of semiconductor luminous sources (LED) between wich the long working life of the lighter, the good homogeneity of the illuminated field, the possibility to choose the wavelength and therefore the emitted light colour, the possibility to realize lighters with innumerables shapes and dimensions, the easiness of regulation and modulation of the emitted light.
The LED Lighters DL2 Series distinguish theirselves also for : 

  •   systems for defect relief on discreet objects
  •   systems of dimensional control
  •   systems for the control of the object position/absence in the production line
  •   color identification systems
  •   code reading and decoding systems
  •   systems for the shape control
  •   systems for the correct set of particulars in assembly lines
  •   robot applications


Features of DL2 Family


  •  Sturdy container in anodized aluminium in a position to conferring an high twisting rigidity and an optimal resistance to the bending also for lighters of particularly elevated lengths. The construction has been studied in order to allow the employment of these lighters also on machines and systems that don't have suitable fixing supports for the entire length of lighter. The two fixing points, situate near the two extremities of the lighter, are sufficient to maintain in rectilinear position the entire lighter.
  • Efficient heat dissipation system produced from the luminous source. The dissipation system   was designed in order to transfer towards the external walls of the lighter the maximum amount of heat. The developped heat is entrusted to particular dissipated materials, derivated from materials developped in the aerospace field.
  •  High reliability and long duration of the luminous source have been obtained by the employment of semiconductor LED at high efficiency, thanks to the most modern optoelectronics technologies. The average life of of a LED source at semiconductor, correctly fed and working at temperatures inside of the admitted limit, exceed abundantly the 100.000 hours.
  •  Modular structure in a position to allowing the construction of lighters with different dimensions of the lighting range. The employment of a modular structure allows the construction of lighters that can measure from a minimum dimension of few mm up to dimensions of mt.
  •  Protection against polarity inversion, in order to eliminate whichever possibility of breakdown as a result of wrong connexions of the feeding polarity.


  •  Antiscratch protection glass with anti-ageing treatment to prevent transparency changes ( yellowing or index transparency changing) .

HTTM Technology

LED lighters DLw series employ the HTTM technology (High Thermal Transmission Material – RODER Electronics Trademark) in order to transfer the heat generated from the LED.
The employment of HTTM technology allows to transfer the heat generated from led towards the external lighter wall, maintaining low the temperature level inside the lighter and concurring to lengthen the lighter average life and its reliability.



Mechanical Mounting


It is recommended to install the lighter in a way that the inferior wall is in direct contact with a flat metal surface.
In this way the supporting surface of the lighter will be able to ensure a proper heat dissipation produced from LED.
The operating temperature maintenance of the lighter in the range allows the achievement of high operating times (average life over 100000 hours) and maintain stable and costant the light emission and the chromatic feature of LED.
